Topics

The topics proposed wish to bring out studies and reflections in which, starting from the study of ‘reality’, it is possible to achieve a correct understanding and realisation of the intervention on the built environment with the use of compatible criteria. The main goals are to deepen the themes of documentation, knowledge, restoration and reuse of the architectural, urban and landscape Heritage. The proposed sections are intended to encourage  interdisciplinary debate by involving who, in a transversal manner and from different perspectives, address the delicate issue of the preservation, reuse, and regeneration of the existing.

The conference proposes five different sections:

Section 1Technologies and tools for the knowledge process: historical-critical analysis, documentation, representation, valorisation, and enhancement of the built and landscape Heritage also through the digital world.

Section 2Restoration, reuse, valorisation: theories, guidelines, and methodological approaches for the conservation of architectural, archaeological and landscape Heritage and its material and structural components.

Section 3Seismic, hydrogeological and anthropic risk mitigation actions for Cultural, Architectural, Urban and Environmental Heritage: guidelines and critical aspects of conservation interventions aimed at Heritage protection.

Section 4Intervention strategies for the built Heritage: habitability, accessibility, transformability, adaptability and resilience.

Section 5Intervention strategies for the management, revitalisation and regeneration of cities, historic centers, and suburban areas: planning, strategies and intervention projects on the urban built environment, territory, and landscape.
